Description

The BMD-4 is the latest iteration of the Russian BMD airborne IFV series. It's designed to transport Russian VDV troops, increasing their mobility, armament and protection of the battlefield.

Similar to the BMP-3, the BMD-4 is armed with a 100mm low-velocity 2A70 main gun firing both HE-FRAG and ATGM rounds, a duel fed dual feed 2A72 30mm auto-cannon and coaxial 7.62mm PKT machine gun.

The BMD-4M comes loaded with 100mm 3UOF19-1 HE-FRAG proximity fuse shells. These shells automatically detonate roughly 3m above ground for increased lethality against infantry and soft skinned targets.
